After two years of coronavirus-related restrictions, thousands joined a large-scale Berlin Pride again on Saturday with a party atmosphere. The event started at noon (1000 GMT) with a rally and a shower of confetti at Spittelmarkt in the Mitte district. The subsequent demonstration followed a 7.4-kilometre route through several Berlin districts to the landmark Brandenburg Gate, with almost 100 vehicles and thousands dancing to loud house, disco and electro beats.
