In 2019, we could discover in theaters Shazam!. Since, Warner Bros. Pictures has released several other film projects within the DCEU and is not ready to stop, with for this end of the year two feature films whose main characters precisely share this magic word. On the one hand, we will be entitled to black adam with Dwayne Johnson and on the other following the adventures of Billy Batson in Shazam! The Rage of the Gods (Where Shazam! Fury of the Gods in English) directed by David F. Sandberg. The panel dedicated to film productions DC of the San Diego Comic-Con obviously made it possible to finally discover an overview of the latter througha long first trailer.

Failing to pour into the serious, the character camped by Zachary Levi when he is in costume and by Asher Angel when he becomes Billy Batson at least has the merit of referring to the other superheroes of this haphazardly coherent extended universe.
the trailer introduces the threat that will have to be managed Shazam and his family made of Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer / Adam Brody in his heroic form), Eugene Choi (Ian Chen / Ross Butler in his heroic form), Darla Dudley (Faithe Herman / Meagan Good in heroic form), Pedro Pena (Jovan Armand / DJ Cotrona in his heroic form) and Mary Bromfield (Grace Caroline Currey for both forms), viz. the girls ofAtlas Hespera and Calypso played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu. Yes, it is clearly a generational duel that is looming ! We will also find in the casting Marta Milans and Cooper Andrews embodying the couple BasinDjimon Hounsou reprising his role as the Wizard and Rachel Zegler who will be another daughter ofAtlas unnamed and much younger.
And beyond the humor which fits well with the situation, it is therefore against a backdrop of Business ofEminem (thank you Shazam !) that epic action scenes even featuring a dragon are presented to us.

The release date of Shazam! The Rage of the Gods is Dec. 15 worldwide and Dec. 21 in North America. The video being satisfied with a “soon”, difficult to say with certainty what will be the exact date in France, which would be a priori the same as across the Atlantic, the outputs being made on a Wednesday here. And, yes, it’s still different from the date indicated last March…
