Instead, let’s talk about what this smartphone should replace or what Nothing looks like not in appearance, but in essence. It is powered by Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset, 4500mAh battery and 120Hz OLED screen. Unfortunately, it is not available everywhere, and there are no official sales in Russia. Google Pixel 6a – new Pixel

The Pixel 6a is not actually available for purchase at the time of writing. It is currently only accepting pre-orders. Mid-range smartphone from Google will go on sale July 28. And it is definitely one of the best Nothing Phone alternatives on the market.

The mid-range model offers features such as: powerful Tensor processor, IP67 rating, 4410mAh battery and dual rear camera system with excellent software. Add five years of security updates and you’ve got a good deal.

That doesn’t mean the Pixel 6a is ideal for the price, as it lacks wireless charging, fast wired charging (there’s a maximum of 18W), and a higher screen refresh rate. These are significant omissions in 2022, especially when compared to Nothing Phone 1. But for some people, this is not an issue.

Samsung Galaxy A53 – the best inexpensive Samsung

The last few Samsung Galaxy A5x phones have been great mid-range devices, and the Galaxy A53 5G continues that trend. It is equipped with a mid-range Exynos 1280 chipset, which is not as powerful as the Nothing Phone 1 processor, but still suitable for everyday tasks and some advanced games. You also get a similar 120Hz OLED panel.

Otherwise, the Galaxy A53 5G stands out from the Nothing with its IP67 water resistance rating. Other notable features include: 5000 mAh battery, four years of OS updates and five years of security patches. It also has a quad rear camera system (64MP with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, 5MP depth).

At the same time, the Samsung phone does not have wireless charging, and the wired one has the power 25 W, which is not so fast. But it’s still one of the best Nothing Phone 1 alternatives in terms of affordability.

OnePlus Nord 2T – inexpensive OnePlus

OnePlus Nord 2T is a good alternative for consumers. With its release, the company has brought some nice additions and changes to its third main Nord phone.

OnePlus uses here Dimensity 1300 chipset, which is more or less at the same level as the Snapdragon 778G Plus inside Nothing Phone 1. So it should handle most demanding games and general tasks just fine. Otherwise, the Nord 2T also includes features such as a 6.43-inch 90Hz OLED screen and a 4500mAh battery with 80W charging.

Nord 2T has the same 50 MP main camera IMX766Nothing, while an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP monochrome lens complete the rear camera package. Unfortunately, the phone lacks features such as wireless charging and an official IP rating.

Of course, many of these specs are very similar to the 2021 Nord 2, which if you can find it on sale is an even better buy.

Poco F4 is a phone for everyone

Those expecting major upgrades from the Poco F4 over the Poco F3 may be disappointed, but this is still a great mid-range phone that will suit just about everyone.

Poco phone is powered by Snapdragon 870 chipset with flagship performance, 120Hz OLED FHD+ panel, IP53 splashproof, 4500mAh battery and wired charging 67 W. The phone also features a 64MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens.

True, many will not appreciate system advertising, although for the most part it can be turned off. And in this phone, nothing is clear about the obligation to update. But for the money it’s still a great phone.

Apple iPhone SE (2022) is the cheapest iPhone

The iPhone SE (2022) is another device worth considering, especially if you don’t mind leaving the Android ecosystem. This phone can also be put on a par with Nothing Phone 1.

You get a few good features for your money, including: IP67 water resistance, a decent rear camera, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-level processor, wireless charging, and software update within 5-7 years. This smartphone is compact, although not everyone will appreciate the thick bezels.

However, the iPhone SE 2022 makes a few compromises to reach this price point. First, there is no secondary rear camera, no OLED panel, and no high refresh rate. In addition, in the base model only 64 GB of memoryand the battery is tiny compared to the Nothing Phone 1. But I’ve used this phone, and it’s actually not as bad as it might seem when you look at its capacity.
