On occasion, Sony shares blockbuster games from the PlayStation with PCs. And generally, the manufacturer does not do things by halves! Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered indeed promises to be a great vintage.

Spider-Man will spin his web on Windows on August 12, and he’s not kidding! The Insomniac studio, a subsidiary of Sony, has unveiled the technical characteristics of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, released two years ago on the PlayStation 5 and which itself is a big update to the original game. The developers have spared no expense in impressing PC gamers.

Ultrawide monitor and framerate boost

First of all, there is support for ultrawide screens, ranging from 21:9 to 32:9, a format that is not common in the streets (we find in the short list the Oddyssey Neo G9 from Samsung, which costs more of $2,000). Insomniac has also thought of all those who have three external monitors: the game will be multi-screen compatible.

Graphically speaking, this episode of Spider-Man benefits from ray-tracing: modes will offer additional refinement for reflections and shadows, thus contributing to the immersion which promises to be intense. The title also brings compatibility with DLSS technology which improves the quality of the image in real time and boosts the framerate on PCs equipped with Nvidia cards.

Added to this is the DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) of the same Nvidia which brings even more realism. To take advantage of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, the minimum configuration is a PC equipped with a Core i3-4160, a GeForce GTX 950 (or AMD equivalent) and 8 GB of RAM. We will then be entitled to 720p at 30 frames per second.

PC requires, the title will be playable with keyboard and mouse, but you can also connect a DualSense controller with its haptic effects and adaptive triggers. Finally, trophy synchronization and online backup via the Epic Games Store and Steam are included.
