Here is a discreet, but very useful, novelty of iOS 16 unearthed by a reader and transmitted on the iGen Club Discord. When sharing a contact card from the Contacts app, the system now allows you to select the fields to send. Enough to transmit a minimum of contact details, for example only the name and number of a person, without transmitting their full address or their date of birth.
In the share menu of iOS 16, a new option “Filter fields” appears above the destinations proposed by the system. Touch it to display all the fields contained in the contact card being shared and you can then quickly uncheck items before transmitting the card in question.
This selection of fields works on iOS 16 as on iPadOS 16, but not on macOS Ventura. Note that it is always available when sharing several contact cards. In this case, you will only see the titles of the fields present in these cards, without the content and you will be able to filter the fields in all the shared contact cards.
