The incredible artificial intelligence DALL-E is now in beta

Impossible to miss the images produced by DALL-E if you hang out on social networks. These illustrations generated by an artificial intelligence from a textual description in natural language are particularly successful and they delight all users who have access to them. And there will be more of them, since OpenAI has announced the availability of the system in beta.

One million additional users

In the coming weeks, one million interested people waiting in the DALL-E queue will receive access to artificial intelligence. This beta will also give them 50 free credits for their first month of use, plus an additional 15 credits per month. One credit equals four system-generated images, or three images if it’s a variation or modification of a photo.

Fans can also buy 115 credits (460 images maximum) for $15, in addition to their free credits. The consortium also details the licenses for the exploitation of images created by DALL-E: users will retain full rights for commercial use, including printing and selling rights. In other words, we can find DALL-E illustrations in children’s books, in newsletters, games, storyboards…

Be careful though, not everything will be possible. OpenAI wants to reduce the risk of misusing DALL-E. Images uploaded to feed the artificial intelligence will not be able to present realistic faces, photos of personalities and politicians will not be authorized. Moderation filters will prevent violent, “adult” or political images from being generated.
