How to get a new PlayStation Plus subscription in Russia. No VPN required

Sony has launched an updated PlayStation Plus subscription in the US and Europe.

It consists of three levels: Essentials, Extra and Premium. We have already written about their features separately, now we will only briefly repeat.

Essentials: the usual PS Plus with cloud saves, multiplayer and a couple of free games; costs $10 per month

Extra: Additional hundreds of games for PS4 and PS5; costs $15 per month

Premium: additional trials, games for the first two PlayStation and PSP. As well as access to PlayStation 3 games through the PlayStation Now streaming service; costs $18 per month

Unfortunately, PlayStation Plus is not officially available in Russia. However, there is a way to arrange it.

How to get PlayStation Plus in Russia

We will have to create an account in another region. It’s best to choose the US to access PS NOW, but the latter will already require a VPN.

one. Go to PlayStation Store official websiteclick Sign In and select Create a New Account.

In the region of residence, enter United States.

2. In the “email” column, enter a new one that you have not yet registered with PlayStation Network.

3. In the city and state fields, enter states without sales taxes (it’s cheaper, here is the list). For example, they include Delaware, Alaska or Montana.

four. In the Postal Code field, enter any postal code from the state of your choice. It can be easily found in a search. Enter a city from the specified state that matches the zip code.

5. Confirm account registration in a letter to the specified e-mail.

6. It will not be possible to link a bank card, in the USA only local cards are accepted for payment by PSN. Therefore, use recharge cards, there are specialized sites with good reviews on the Internet that sell such cards.

Basic replenishment cards for $10 cost about 650 rubles on average.

Everything. You have paid for PlayStation Plus. You can enjoy your new subscription. And games can be paid for with a Russian bank card or through recharge codes.
