Whereas Dead Cells will soon blow out its fourth candle, the game continues to update regularly. After a DLC released at the beginning of the year, an update concerning accessibility is appearing. The developers of Motion Twin have thus worked to allow more people to enjoy their rogue-lite.
Our new Dead Cells update “Breaking Barriers” introduces a huge array of #accessibility options. An Assist Mode is also available for tailored, specific tweaks to elements of the game. A new, more accessible mode
The main novelty comes from the “Assist” mode. This allows you to unlock several options:
- Continue from the biome where you died, rather than starting from the beginning
- Auto-attack: the character will make an attack with the main weapon as soon as it is in range of the enemy
- Access to a modification of the damage of traps, those made by enemies or the amount of life of these
- Change the length of time when parrying is possible
It will also be possible to customize the game interface or even the colors used for certain elements, while an option will manage the presence of blood during combat. The sizes and fonts of the texts will also be modifiable. The work is also sound, since Dead Cells will have a system prioritizing sound effects according to the player’s choice, which limits their number. The overall balance has also been revised to provide a better experience.
Dead Cells is available on the Microsoft Store for €24.99. It is also included in the Game Pass catalog. You can check out its trailer below:
