Already in closed beta since the end of April, Torchlight: Infinite will launch its open beta (like a free-to-play pre-launch) next October. Registrations are open.

At the beginning of the month, Torchlight Infinite kicked off its pre-registration, auguring an upcoming free-to-play launch. The XD Games studio is now a little more specific: after having launched a closed beta at the end of April, the hack n slash will be the subject of an open beta next October – obviously first on mobile platforms, before also be distributed on PC.

For the curious, registrations were already open on Android. They are now also on iOS via the official website.

In the process, the developer took advantage of the TapTap Presents convention to unveil a short cinematic teaser of the game, sketching in particular a new playable heroine, Thea. The trailer is short, but the developer clarifies that this sixth playable character is a goddess with magical powers with a strong connection to the Moon. Like the previous heroes of Torchlight: Infinite, she works to restore light to the world of Leptis and fights against the darkness of the Aemberons.
