The official release of World of Warcraft’s next version, Age of Dragons, is much closer than most players expected, with Blizzard recently confirming that it will be released in 2022. However, this is not what many players in the gaming community want to hear. After all, when Blizzard announced Age of Dragons in April, it didn’t give any word on a release date, only telling players that this version would come “when it’s ready.” For now, it seems to be getting ready a little too quickly. Players aren’t sure how to look at this. On the one hand, the community is eager to come out of the Shadowlands version of disappointment and get back on track with Azeroth. On the other hand, players are concerned that the 2022 release date is too early, given the late announcement of the expansion itself and the fact that the alpha test of Age of Dragons has not yet been in the game’s public beta. So a large part of the community is actually begging Blizzard to delay the release of Age of Dragons, take your time, maybe an early 2023 release would be better. To be sure, with alpha testing, beta testing, pre-patches and an official release in less than six months, the timing does look tight. but .
