MultiVersus is a crazy enough game as it is but taz comes to bring even more chaos to all this thanks to a panoply of blows which allows him to take everything in his path when he does not simply eat his opponents.
Please note that this article was written during the MultiVersus alpha and may change during the beta or the official launch of the game.
Introducing Taz
(Don’t panic: we don’t understand anything he’s saying either.)
- Full Name : The Tasmanian Devil
- Original universe: looney tunes
- First appearance : “The Devil in the Body” (June 1954)
- Class : Slugger
- Difficulty : Normal
- Main type of knockout : Horizontal
- English voice: Jim Cummings
- French voice: Bruno Meyere
Official description: “The Tasmanian devil could be the result of the crossing of a tornado and a particularly angry electric razor, so much this real ball of energy is manic, grumpy and sputtering. Those who manage to soothe him claim that he can be as gentle and kind as a kitten, but the challenge is daunting. In any case, Taz’s temper is only exceeded by his appetite, so take our word for it: you don’t want to deal with a hungry and berserk devil! »
How to unlock Taz in MultiVersus?
Taz is a character available directly in MultiVersus without having to unlock it.
Our tips for use:
A bit like Jake, Taz is probably the ideal character for those who absolutely want to bugger without thinking. He has several zone attacks that make him invulnerable and therefore quite complicated to punish. And he can also swallow opponents and projectiles to send them back and even turn his enemies into chickens that can no longer attack for a while and even drop life.
When you play it, your goal is to attack relentlessly to never give the slightest respite to the opponent since it will be difficult to punish you and this will increase your chances of transforming it. And when you’re against him, you have to stay as far away as possible by doing maximum damage from a distance and waiting for an opening that allows you to get him out of the arena.
Taz Moveset:
- Neutral Special Move – Chew Me This:
- Taz swallows an enemy or projectile. In the case of enemies, he can choose to damage them while they are blocked or throw them.
- Side Special Move – Taz-nade:
- It becomes a whirlwind that attacks multiple times. When it crosses an ally, the duration of the tornado increases while the ally gains a small movement speed bonus.
- High Special Move – Heads! Pile ! :
- Taz becomes a projectile that gradually grows and attracts enemies in its path before violently expelling them. While on cooldown, he jumps while attacking above him.
- Low Special Move – Spitting Devil / Quick Meal:
- He throws an apple core that does Tasty damage. If he’s already swallowed something with his neutral special attack, it’s that object or enemy he’ll spit out instead for even more tasty damage.
- Passive – Unfathomable Pit:
- Certain attacks give victims the Tasty debuff which once at maximum level temporarily turns them into a roast chicken unable to attack. And if that chicken takes damage, it leaves pieces that heal Taz and his ally when they pick them up. Taz also heals his ally when he crosses paths with him, with a cooldown required between each heal.
Taz Special Perks:
- Iron stomach (level 8): When he has swallowed a projectile, Taz burps an anvil instead of the projectile in question.
- In return (level 10): The tornado reflects projectiles but moves slower.
Tier Rewards:
- Level 2 : Perk Horizontal Damage Bonus
- Level 3: 100 gold coins
- Level 4: Advantage Restitution of capacities to receive blows
