Is Nintendo about to release a new Nintendo Direct ? For the moment, the doubt persists… Since 2012it is however almost a tradition: Nintendo offers us a Nintendo Direct in June. It’s usually a highly-anticipated moment for fans as Nintendo presents its catalog of upcoming games for the second half of the year, including confirming its holiday schedule. At the same time, this “tradition” is intrinsically linked to E3, the great video game fair which for a long time was considered the most important event in the video game industry for both gamers and professionals. . As proof, the only year Nintendo did not publish a Nintendo Direct in June was precisely a year when E3 was canceled. So, of course, it was in 2020a complicated year for everyone… However, it’s hard not to think about it since this year again, E3 has been canceled and the June Nintendo Directs are generally broadcast before the 15th…

However, like many players, we still want to believe it. A rumor also claims that there will be a Direct this month and that it will be June 29…However, it is clear that nintendo can also very well do otherwise and be content to use social networks to distill its information or even use Nintendo Direct Specials. This week by the way, a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct has been released (see here) and maybe Nintendo will do the same with the other highly anticipated 2022 games that don’t yet have release dates:Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Bayonetta 3…

For the record, in 2020, players had waited in vain for the famous Nintendo Direct of June and they had had, instead, a Pokemon Present- see there. nintendo then published “mini events” throughout the summer. first three Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase (of less than 10 minutes) : the first in July (see here), the second in August (see there) and the third in September (see here.) In Julythere was also a Nintendo Treehouse Special in August, an Indie World and in September a Super Mario Direct with a release in the wake of Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
