Polyphony Digital and the FIA want to renew their partnership after the break this year. First of all, the time should be used to make improvements to “Gran Turismo 7”.

“It’s not over yet,” said Bertrand after being asked about the partnership between the FIA and Gran Turismo. “The difficulty for Motorsport Games at that point was that they weren’t exactly ready to support the live event in the way we wanted because of GT7 and everything else.”
It was then agreed that the FIA would work with “Assetto Corsa” this time. “It’s also easier for us because it’s more open to many countries,” Bertrand continued.

Ultimately, the decision to take Gran Turismo on hiatus was made by mutual consent: “It’s difficult at the moment, but they’ve been very honest with us and told us that they have to focus on this game first.”

Finally, Bertrand stressed that the progress of “GT7” will be kept under review, with the prospect of renewing the partnership in the early stages of 2023, provided the game is in good enough shape.
