WoW: Dragonflight should be released by December 31, 2022 at the latest. A leaker even predicts that the launch will already await us in November. Is Blizzard risking a hasty shot here?
We reported about it: WoW: Dragonflight should appear no later than December 31, 2022 according to the pre-sale information. As a colleague Sebastian in April – based on the data of the previous expansions – about earliest and latest launch dates for the upcoming WoW expansion speculated, in one extreme (“incredibly optimistic calculations”) it also came to December 2022. But could Dragonflight appear even earlier?
Leak speaks of November 2022
Scaleface, his character Leaker from MMO Champion, could already in advance of the announcement Correctly predict key points of Dragonflight. His predictions also came true for Legion and Warcraft Rumble (via Icy Veins). And part of the Dragonflight leak were two dates: Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled for release in September 2022 and Dragonflight is planned for November 2022, according to Scaleface.
With view on freshly launched beta of WotLK Classic and the pre-order information mentioned above suddenly makes both dates seem reasonably realistic, doesn’t it? But is an early release automatically a good release? After all, Dragonflight still has to be tested extensively in the course of alpha and beta tests. Or is that an indicator that relatively few new systems and content await us with the upcoming expansion? And of course, an early launch of Dragonflight also affects the length of Shadowlands Season 4.
In any case, Blizzard should slowly but surely roll out the Dragonflight test servers. Because what we players definitely don’t want is an insufficiently tested extension that’s full of bugs, errors and construction sites. What do you prefer: An early release of Dragonflight in November? A launch in December? Or even a postponement to next year, the main thing is not a rush job? Tell us in the comments!
