Fire crews responding to the blaze at a mountainous national park in the Czech Republic were hampered on Monday by high winds and difficult-to-access terrain. Czech fire officials said more than 150 firefighters and 54 vehicles were on the scene at Bohemian Switzerland National Park, which lies in the north of the country and on the border with Germany. The fire, which broke out over the weekend, crept across to the German side on Monday. Crews from Germany were also helping in the battle to extinguish the flames.
