The Summer Game Fest 2022 festivities are almost over, but publishers have planned summer conferences. For its part, Nintendo is still waiting but the Japanese manufacturer would have an event planned. And this next Nintendo Direct would arrive very quickly.
A Nintendo Direct next week?
Rumors around a Nintendo Direct this Wednesday, June 29 are intensifying. For the past few days, rumors from the hallway have evoked the publisher’s traditional summer event for this date. Today it is the renowned Nacho Requena (via VGC) which adds its grain of salt. The Manual site reporter confirms a new show for this date and it should be a bit special.
The source explains that this Nintendo Direct should be primarily focused around games from third-party publishers. The outlet goes further by detailing two things to expect. The first would be a Persona game, “ although I don’t know which one “says the source. Many fans are loudly calling for a Switch version of Persona 5 Royal, which has also been announced for Xbox consoles.
The second would concern a game already available for some time on other platforms. The title in question would have been released four years ago. VGC believes it could be Red Dead Redemption 2 via the Cloud but that remains pure speculation at this stage. If the rumor is true, the publisher should announce its next Nintendo Direct by Monday or Tuesday at the most. It will not be necessary to wait very long with being fixed therefore.
