Daedalic needs a few extra months for polishing.
Originally it was supposed to Daedalic Entertainments The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was supposed to be released in late 2021, but it was not, as it was delayed. After that, it was September 1 that applied, but now Daedalic announces that they need more time.
On Twitter, they write that they want to deliver the best possible experience and tell Gollum’s unknown story in a way that lives up to Tolkien’s vision, and therefore choose to postpone the game “by a few months”. No date is mentioned, with them promising to return with one shortly.
They recently showed off a gameplay trailer from the game, which unfortunately didn’t get a very warm reception. It was mainly the graphics that people found rubbing, and hopefully the extra months of development can make the game good on that front.
