Around 4-5 seconds faster, according to Xbox Insiders.

Every second of gaming time counts when you’ve got a lot to do, so it’s great to hear that Microsoft is working on reducing the time it takes to start up their Xbox consoles. An update has reportedly already started rolling out to people in the Xbox Insider testing program, for whom the boot time of the Xbox Series X/S is now around 4-5 seconds shorter.

Josh Munsee from Microsoft confirms it all on Twitter and writes that he was involved in creating a shorter start animation (from the previous nine seconds to four seconds) to fit the shorter start time.

However, this only applies if you use the Energy Saver mode, not standby. It is also worth mentioning that it is not only the latest consoles that benefit from this improvement, but also the Xbox One, according to The Verge. We don’t know when the update will reach all regular users, but expect it not to be too long.
