South Korean electronics maker Samsung has poached Apple’s lead chip engineer after nine years at the company.
Business Korea reports that Kim Woo-Pyung joined Apple as a semiconductor expert in 2014. Before that, he managed to work on chips at Texas Instruments and Qualcomm.
At Samsung, the ex-Apple engineer will take over as director of a new chip development center.
