A 67-year-old man crashed into a local brewing company’s taproom in High Bridge on Friday and suffered only minor injuries, officials said. The Scotch Plains man was driving his car, a Mercury sedan, around 4:38 p.m. on Rt. 513 northbound when it crashed into the large side window of Highrail Brewing Company on 20 Main Street, police said. “It looks like it was (the car’s) mechanical failure, the contributing factor,” said High Bridge Police Department Chief Brett Bartman.
