A demonstration in the southern German town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen against the G7 summit that is being held at the nearby Schloss Elmau resort has ended peacefully, police said on Sunday. Two people were arrested. One was a minor and the other was a woman who then had a fainting spell, they said. A police spokesperson called the event “absolutely peaceful.” Around 2,000 people came to the rally, the organizers said, though police put the number at 800.
