“High school never ends” is the slogan for the new “The Sims 4“Patch! We want to show you what it’s all about!

Electronic Arts and the responsible developers have released a new patch for “The Sims 4“ completed! You can find out what’s new and what’s been improved in the patch notes from July 26th.

The new “The Sims 4Update 1.61 is now available for download, for all platforms. There are a number of new options as well as a number of bug fixes. Among other things, there was a bug on the Xbox, it could happen that the cursor disappeared when interacting with the chicken coop from Landhaus-Leben.

consoles

  • On PlayStation®4, a large number of the Evergreen Harbor objects from Sustainable Living could flicker. We think we’ve fixed this problem. If you do experience it again, please let us know and let us know which PlayStation model and OS version you’re using.
  • The cursor no longer disappears when interacting with the Chicken Coop from Cottage Life on Xbox.
  • Closing the Notebook interface now also hides the controller legend.

The Sims 4

  • Sims can now move back to the free bed space on the wall when beds are placed against the wall.
  • Sims can once again reliably feed toddlers via the “Take ‘s Portion” interaction.
  • Throwing a toddler’s birthday party? Sims can now perform the Compliment Birthday Sim interaction to end the party when this objective appears.
  • Did you know that Sims can take care of their own needs by clicking on the need in the needs bar? Try it out! Sims with the Tidy trait will now wash themselves when you click Sanitize and will no longer clean their house instead.
  • Under the dirt, the GRUFT modular counter keeps its color when it gets dirty.
  • Sims jog again when they die Playmat “The Motion Watcher” and the Play mat with motion sensor “PrioPerfection”
  • The “Save” and “Delete” buttons are now both displayed when hovering over a saved lot in the save game screen.
  • Sims can ask for the following likes and dislikes without having preferences themselves: Decor, Color, Hobbies and Skills, and Music.
  • Since Sims from the same household already know their likes and dislikes, they no longer have the option to ask for different likes and dislikes. “Ask about career” is the only exception.
  • When your Sim socializes with another Sim, likes and dislikes questions will be grouped into a category by that name.
  • Your Sims went on vacation with another household. You just found out through a neighborhood story alert that they’ve made an adoption. This notification is now named the household’s home world, rather than the vacation world.
  • When you place a lot from the gallery, it defaults to the lot type of the lot and no longer prompts to assume the location lot type.
  • If you align a window with the dotted half-tile marker and the window is as wide as its footprint, you can now place another window of this type right next to it.
  • Placing a rounded platform in another room now fills the curve’s floor tiles.
  • When placing swarming dragonflies and mosquitoes Dragonflies and mosquitoes are now placed in ponds accordingly. Bzzzzzz bzzzz…
  • Cars viewed from afar on older computers now look more like cars than a failed carving.
  • Adjusted the caption on the screen that appears to allow you to choose which Sim to do something with the active Sim so that the text no longer overlaps your Sim’s portrait.
  • Launching this screen now also consistently shows the All category.
  • Improved behind-the-scenes pregnancy tracking, increasing performance and stability.
  • We fixed three types of crashes:
    • [nur PS4] A crash that sometimes occurred when saving a lot to My Library on PS4.
    • A crash related to graphics.
    • And a rather annoying crash that occurred when placing a retail lot with mannequins. Make her get away, crashes!
  • A helpful hint is now displayed when hovering over the promotion requirements in the career bar.
  • A helpful hint is now displayed when hovering over the Lot Challenges icon.

  • These curtains can now be placed on windows: Casual Cottage Curtains, Cozy Cottage Curtains, and Charming Cottage Curtains.

seasons

  • Dwarves placed from inventory no longer generate seed packets after the harvest festival ends.

island life

  • Catching fish or frogs now counts towards progress toward the Outdoor Adventurer Badge.

At the university!

  • After switching specializations in a career, your Sim will now receive the well-deserved rewards of the new career.
  • The “Get to class early” button now appears one hour before the start of varsity classes.
  • Sims attend class early when prompted and on their campus.
