Microsoft has estimated the costs due to the curtailment of business in Russia at $126 million. This became known from its annual financial report.
This amount includes expenses for debts, impaired assets and payment of severance pay to employees.
Recall that in early March, Microsoft suspended the sale of new products in Russia, and in June the company announced the complete closure of business in the country. Bloomberg journalists calculated that such a decision would lead to the dismissal of 400 employees of the local division.
