A forest fire discovered Sunday afternoon in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest has grown to an area of 120 acres and is threatening seven structures, the New Jersey Forest Fire service said. The fire off Pasadena Road in Manchester and Woodland townships in southern Ocean and Burlington counties, respectively, was 0% contained as of 7 p.m., the forest fire service said in a tweet. The agency is calling the blaze the Brick Yard Fire, apparently after an abandoned brick factory nearby.
