In iOS 16, Apple introduced a new version of the Home app with a completely redesigned design. Among the design changes, the company has added some new wallpapers to the Home app with iOS 16, and there are even more wallpapers in the latest developer beta.
The fourth beta of iOS 16, which became available to developers on Wednesday, adds two new backgrounds to the Home app, in addition to 10 other wallpapers that were added in previous betas.
Most of the new wallpapers are blurry abstract gradients in different colors that are available in light and dark options. There are also three landscape wallpapers. One shows a white wall with a blue sky behind it, another shows wild flowers, and a third shows an open field. A total of 21 new images can be used as wallpaper.
As we mentioned earlier, these wallpapers can only be found in the Home app, which means you won’t see them in wallpaper options on the iOS home screen and lock screen. Fortunately, we were able to extract the original images from internal iOS files, so now you can download them and use them anywhere.
These wallpapers have a resolution of 2000×2000, which is more than enough for most iPhone and iPad screens. You can download the new wallpaper for the Home app below. Be sure to press the (i) button and save the wallpaper at full resolution, and then set it using the Photos app or the Settings app if you’re using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
It’s worth noting that iOS 16 is currently available as developer beta software on the Apple Developer website. The public beta is also available to users enrolled in Apple’s beta testing program. An official release is expected this fall.
