While Sony has just unveiled the August line-up for the PlayStation Plus Essential, we are told that the Yakuza series will have a prominent place on the service this year with the arrival of many opuses in the series. . The opportunity to catch up on the whole license if you ever subscribe to the right levels.

One of the nice surprises of the Playstation Plus for the month of August is the presence of the excellent Yakuza Like A Dragon, the latest installment in the series. Sony does not intend to stop there since the firm plans to release seven more Yakuza games in 2022.
On the other hand, it is not so simple since the other titles will only be available to higher level subscriptions. As a reminder, we have dedicated an article to the new PlayStation Plus formula which explains all the offers. For this month of August, purchasers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium will therefore be able to enjoy the following games:
- Yakuza 0 (PS4)
- Yakuza Kiwami (PS4)
- Yakuza Kiwami 2 (PS4)
Later this year, PlayStation Plus Premium-only members will get:
- Yakuza 3 Remastered (PS4)
- Yakuza 4 Remastered (PS4)
- Yakuza 5 Remastered (PS4)
Finally, we have Yakuza 6: The Song of Life which will also be available later this year for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members only. Some, still confined to the “Essential” offer, may be disappointed but we must still admit that the one offered in August is ideal to start the series.
Studio Ryu Ga Gotoku recently revealed the first images of Yakuza 8, so now is the time to be up to date.
