For many WoW players, dragon riding is already the highlight of the upcoming Dragonflight expansion. With the new alpha build, the Blizzard developers have improved the feature even further and included the first talents, among other things.
When it comes to the features of the upcoming WoW expansion Dragonflight, dragon riding is probably right behind the new talent trees. In just a few weeks since Dragon Riding was first playable, the feature has garnered a massive following. Quite a few hope or demand that dragon riding won’t be left behind on the Dragon Isles when we eventually move on to the next expansion.
The Blizzard developers also have high hopes for the new feature and continue to work on bringing it to the best possible level before the masses of players take to the skies as part of a beta. In the latest alpha build there are a few innovations for dragon riding.
Dragon Riding Alpha Adjustments
blizzard
hey all,
In this next build, you’ll notice some new functionality!
- Dragonriding now features advanced turning tech that helps the drakes feel more weighty and turning more of a decision
- While boosted to very fast speeds, new tech will adjust the camera’s FOV (this can be disabled with the “Reduce Camera Motion” option inside the “Motion Sickness” section of the “Accessibility” menu)
- Dragon Glyphs are hidden throughout the skies over The Waking Shores! Fly through them to unlock achievements (and points for the Dragonriding Skill Track)
- The Dragonriding Skill Track is now accessible at the dragonriding trainer at Skytop Observatory (Lithragosa)
- Not all skills are displayed or implemented, but the player may earn points by collecting Dragon Glyphs and spend them for progression
- The Renewed Proto-Drake is now customizable in the Rostrum of Transformation
Thank you again for continuing to give feedback and suggestions as we continue to make our way through alpha.
According to the developers, they improve the feeling of flying in the curves, which probably prevents us from being able to fly such extremely tight curves as before. In addition, the camera should adjust automatically as soon as you reach high speeds.
But the first version of the dragon talent system is likely to be much more important. This has also been implemented. You get the points for this through various flight exercises and collectible glyphs in the sky above the areas. So far, however, not all skills are available and only the first dragon that you unlock in the course of the first area is customizable.
