A very specific sound will no longer be heard in Roblox in the future. The Oof sound, which has become a meme, has now been phased out by the developers. And for a pretty simple reason.

No more Oof in Roblox

A very big oof in the round: The one for Roblox players popular sound will no longer be available in the online gaming platformas the developers announce on Twitter:

The reason are Licensing problems of the sound effect. It’s not the first time there have been difficulties with this particular sound.

Back in 2020, composer Tommy Tallarico spotted his creation in the game and requested its removal (source: IGN).

After that, however, an agreement was found between Roblox and Tallarico, which reintroduced the popular Oof. However for a price of one US dollar for content creators when they use it.

Now this is Agreement apparently expired, as the renewed removal proves. From now on you will have to do without the iconic sound when you die or reset your character.

You probably will noise gone viral as a meme but continue to encounter on the Internet. By the way, here’s a taste of the legendary Oof if you haven’t already:
