Season 4 of WoW: Shadowlands throws out some rules from previous seasons and brings experimental features for obtaining gear. In the big FAQ, the developers answer some of the most important questions about the start of the 4th WoW season, which we have summarized for you here.
Just before the start of the 4th season of WoW: Shadowlands there were still many unanswered questionshow the new features of the last season of the expansion work in detail. In a large FAQ in the official WoW forum, WoW developer Scariizard does not answer all of them, but some of them. He explains what happens to the item level of media and legendaries, how far Mythic Plus keystones will be reduced at the start of the season and reveals some other interesting changes.
For example become Sandblasted Relics Account bound at the start of the season (was previously soul bound). Another interesting piece of information is that you can use the weapons and trinkets of old raids that come with Fateful Raids and the dinar dealers play a role again, adjusting (very likely easing) again with higher item levels. We have summarized the most important information for you below.
No new Legendary ranks, no reset of Cosmic Flux & much more – the most important information about Season 4 of WoW Shadowlands
- Media item level is not increased.
- Rank 7 (Ilvl 291) remains the highest item level for Legendaries.
- No new mark of the craftsman.
- Cosmic Flux from Season 3 will stay with you in Season 4. Can now be sent to alts.
- Sandblasted Relics are account bound for Season 4.
- Items for additional sockets from Season 3 cannot be carried over.
- Your highest Mythic Plus Keystone will be downgraded by 3 levels at the start of Season 4.
- In the first week of Season 4 there will be no item level cap for items from M+.
- Mythic raids are active immediately, and cross-realm raiding remains active as well.
- Raid skips from previous seasons remain.
- Fateful items that become set items can be upgraded further.
- Sylvanas’ bow will still not over Confusing Cartel Dinar be for sale. However, for players who own the bow, the middlemen will sell an item that will bring the weapon’s item level to 285. In addition, the drop chance of the bow is increased. Sylvanas will also drop the bow in Fateful Weeks.
Season 4 is an experimental and shorter season than all previous WoW seasons. Therefore, few obstacles are placed in the players’ way. Despite the long FAQs in the forum, there are still a few unanswered questions. It will be particularly interesting to see how old jewelry such as Soul of an ancient warrior be adjusted. Is it worth deliberately playing a melee fighter for the gem in Season 4, or will it be massively toned down later? That would be important info that should be shared with players now, but according to the Blue Post, it will happen next week at the latest, at the start of the season. The complete FAQ including longer explanations can be found at the moment in the official US forum.
