According to Kommersant, service centers in Russia are facing a shortage of spare parts for smartphones, tablets, laptops and other gadgets.
Due to the lack of components, services are forced to disassemble new devices. If earlier the “basic” repair could take from several hours to several days, now the terms reach a week.
The import of gadgets through parallel imports only adds to the problems: the repair obligations are assigned to distributors and sellers, that is, the devices have to be returned to the countries where they were purchased. Authorized service centers do not accept devices imported by parallel import.
We turned to the iSupport service center for a comment, where we usually refer to repair our broken iPhones and iPads:
Spare parts are in full order, and they even fell in price due to the exchange rate. There are no problems and shortages, everything is available. We replace broken screens on iPhones, and the service of separate glass replacement without replacing the entire display is becoming more and more popular. We use original parts, we remove screens from new iPhones.

In this case, the situation is stable and there are no problems with the components for repair. It is possible that this is not the case in all services, but this is a topic for a separate study. At least not everything is as bad as Kommersant writes.
