Original news:
There are sour faces in people who paid extra to play F1 22 on Steam earlier. The game’s regular premiere is on Friday, but the SEK 200 more expensive Champions Edition version gives a three-day jump-start. It premiered at 8 this morning, but on Steam it has not yet been released. There is also reports about hassle with the Origin version, and also about suspended EA accounts.
At 10 o’clock, EA confirmed trouble with the Steam version and that they are working on solving it. Information should come as soon as you have something to tell, but still have no new messages come.
The Playstation and Xbox versions seem to work.
Just early access to the game is the big thing with Champions Edition. Otherwise, you get most cosmetic things and a splash of ingame currency for the extra two hundred that the more expensive edition costs. And then, of course, it hurts not to be able to play at the promised time, regardless of whether the responsibility for the trouble lies with EA, Steam, Codemasters or someone else. Maybe it’s simply better to wait until it’s released in the usual way ..?
FZ reviewed F1 22 yesterday, and we were extremely pleased with it.
