Making a good game is hard enough, but sometimes lightning strikes more than once.
Sequels are delicate things. They must manage to find the balance between living up to (one or more) predecessors while being fresh enough to justify its existence. A difficult balancing act and there are many who fail – but also some who triumph greatly.
Which do you think is the best sequel of all time? And why? Maybe even the best in the series?
Uncharted 2, The Witcher 3, Half-Life 2, GTA V, Silent Hill 2, Portal 2, Batman: Arkham City, Super Mario Bros. 3, Street Fighter 2 and Bioshock Infinite are just a few examples of acclaimed sequels.
