Nintendo confirms the arrival of the second wave of paid DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. On the program: eight additional circuits, including a brand new circuit.
Announced at the beginning of the year, the additional “Pass Circuits” should bring content to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe until the end of 2023. For the first paid DLC of one of the Switch’s flagship games, Nintendo has chosen to offer six waves of content to bring 48 new playable tracks. The first salvo appeared in March, riding the wave of nostalgia. Big N had then proposed eight circuits from old games and remastered for the occasion. We also tested this DLC when it was released.
Place now for the second wave which will be available from August 4th. She will understand 8 new tracks, including the famous Pinball Waluigi from Mario Kart DS and a brand new circuit. Called “Cité Sorbet”, it will offer pilots a “sweet” circuit filled with gigantic desserts at every turn. On social networks, the Japanese giant offers to discover in images this circuit which promise of “multiple branches and [d]dizzying falls”.

To accompany this completely new circuit in the Helicopter Cup, Nintendo will offer races Sprint in Sydney (Mario Kart Tour), Snowy Country (Mario Kart Super Circuit GBA) and Mushroom Throat (Mario Kart Wii). The second Cup, called Navet Cup, will send players to the circuits New York Getaway (Mario Kart Tour), Circuit Mario 3 (Super Mario Kart), Kalimari Desert (Mario Kart 64) and Pinball Waluigi (Mario Kart DS).
The main surprise comes from the new layout which accompanies circuits already known to players, but modernized for the occasion.
