As the developers of EA Motive Studios confirmed via Twitter, work on “Dead Space Remake” continues to make progress. According to the studio, the alpha phase was reached a few weeks ago.

One of the first big titles to herald the video game year 2023 is the remake of the popular survival horror classic “Dead Space”, which is currently being worked on by the developers at EA Motive Studios.

The Quebec, Canada-based studio gave us a small development update via Twitter and confirmed that work on the Dead Space remake is still progressing. Accordingly, the new edition reached the alpha phase a few weeks ago and should therefore be about to start the beta phase.

Unfortunately, those responsible at EA Motive Studios did not reveal when new details and game scenes for “Dead Space Remake” can be expected.

A classic returns in a revised format

If all goes as planned, Dead Space Remake will be released in January 2023 for PC and current-gen consoles. According to official information, the developers at EA Motive Studios will remain true to the story and setting of the horror classic originally released in 2008. At the same time, the graphics are completely redesigned and various adjustments are made to the game mechanics.

An optimized dismemberment mechanism or various aids for new players are promised here, with which the target group is to be expanded. The creators of EA Motive Studios have placed particular value on feedback from the community in recent months.

For example, after they criticized the new sound effects of the plasma cutter, the sound effects were tackled again. The same applies to the sound of the Pulse Rifle, which was received quite negatively by the players and was also revised as a result.
