In the process of becoming a sub-genre in its own right in the great family of narrative games (Road 96, Hitchhiker, Open Roads, Dustborn), the road trip serves here as a support for the story of Alfred, an elderly man who embarks on a travels aboard his faithful van with his dog (which we can pet, yes) as his only companion.
Seeing the varied landscapes of North America scroll by, Alfred actually retraces a journey he traveled long before with his wife. Over the course of encounters and panoramas, the player will discover a little more about Alfred, who makes a point of documenting his journey with his device and solving small puzzles integrated into the environment.
“Live a story full of nuances and emotions, which speaks of shattered dreams, loss and regrets… but also of courage, hope and friendship. Explore landscapes of touching beauty, from tranquil lakes in the middle of the forest to arid lands parched by the desert sun“, can we read on the game’s sheet, which is currently only announced on Steam.
