In line with the first HIT (a technological evolution for the time), HIT 2 presents itself as a real cross-platform MMORPG, in 3D and massive. The game will be released in South Korea on August 25 and Nexon is preparing for it.

In 2015, the first HIT was a pioneer in distributed online action gaming on mobile platforms. The game closed in 2019 but its developer, the studio NAT games (since become Nexon Games), has set about developing a sequel. Like his eldest, HIT 2 intends to mark a technological evolution and the title this time takes the form of a real MMORPG (cross-platform, distributed on PC and mobile platforms). The game displays neat graphics made with the Unreal Engine 4 and above all a gameplay based on mass clashes, within the framework of sieges of fortresses.

We will judge the effectiveness of the gameplay on the spot and rather quickly since the release of the game has just been announced for August 25 in South Korea – this is not really a surprise, since Nexon recently launched its pre-operation -reservation of characters. South Korean players can reserve their character’s name on one of the servers already available and begin to familiarize themselves with the MMORPG’s six playable classes, all based on the use of a family of weapons: a tank wielding a warhammer and shield, an offensive caster (a loli in undress wielding a scepter), an offensive fighter wielding two swords, an archer, a support class wielding a magic orb, and a heavy fighter armed with a two-handed sword.

One of the high-level stakes of HIT 2 is based on fortress conquest mechanics, in particular allowing the winners to define some of the rules in force on the server. The developer is inspired by this to organize a consultation of the players in anticipation of the launch: a vote will be organized on the official site and the players will be able to define the rules of the different servers applied to the release of the game. The majority of the players will decide, in the meantime that the first fortresses are conquered and that the victors impose their own rules.

HIT 2 will therefore be launched on August 25 in South Korea. An international release is also announced but without a launch date to date.

Update (July 29) : from July 28, Nexon therefore invited South Korean players to pre-reserve their character on existing servers. The 35 servers initially planned were stormed and filled to capacity in just over seven hours (for the record, five million players had pre-registered on the official site). At first, Nexon had to close its servers, the time to increase their capacity, then to open five additional ones. At this point, HIT 2 will therefore launch on 40 servers on August 25, and additional servers may be open by then, if the influx of players continues.
