Intel has used the Arc A750 in Death Stranding in a new video to demonstrate VRR and HDR and to clarify the HDMI ports on upcoming Arc models. The Arc graphics cards should support all screens with variable refresh rates, so no special precautions are necessary. Read more about this below.
Intel’s Arc A750 should be placed as an opponent to Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 3060 and also convince with new technologies such as XeSS. Intel has now presented the new features of the graphics card in detail in a new advertising video. Below that are the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), HDR and also the HDMI port of the card. A high-end system consisting of a Core i9-12900K, 32 GiB DDR5-4800 and an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero was used in the test in order not to limit the mid-range GPU.

Death Stranding was used for testing, which was operated with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels in the default preset. This demonstration was not intended to show the performance of the graphics card in the game, but primarily to demonstrate VRR. Intel has now confirmed that the Arc graphics cards should support all monitors with VRR, but at the same time officially validates more than 100 current top monitors for it. The frame rate in the game fluctuates between 80 and 100 frames per second and thus represents an optimal basis for a VRR demonstration.
Furthermore, Death Stranding was shown in 3,440 x 1,440 pixels including HDR. Intel has also sought clarity regarding the HDMI interface on the Arc GPUs. The in-house limited edition cards, which can be seen as a kind of reference model, will certainly support the HDMI 2.1 standard, while Intel otherwise gives the board partner free rein and also allows implementations of protocol converters (PCONs) for HDMI 2.1 are. Unfortunately, the final specifications of the Arc A750 are still unknown, it is only clear that there will be a model with 8 GiB VRAM, which will probably be built with 28 Xe cores and that the performance of a Geforce RTX 3060 is targeted.
