No Breath of the Wild 2 again? Next Nintendo Direct aims to disappoint fans

The Nintendo Direct for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is rumored to be followed by another presentation soon. According to new leaks, however, this could not meet the high expectations of the fans.

Nothing new about Breath of the Wild 2

E3 may not have taken place this year, but Nintendo seems to have prepared a few presentations anyway. After Gameplay Direct to the forthcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3, another Nintendo Direct is to be broadcast soon.

According to rumours, this should still take place in June, but it is more likely now Beginning of July. But what could be the topic? Are fans finally getting another Zelda trailer that shows more of the Breath of the Wild sequel? The Spanish video game journalist Nacho Requena shatters this hope with an alleged leak.

According to him, the still secret Nintendo Direct is about third-party games. In other words, games that are not developed by Nintendo itself. So Breath of the Wild 2 is probably out of the running. (Source: YouTube / Nacho Mol)

What should be shown instead?

Requena also gives an outlook on what Switch owners can expect from the Direct instead. According to him there will be a few persona games shown. He doesn’t go into it more specifically. Above all, fans are hoping for a port of Persona 5, the most successful game in the series to date.

But it’s also possible that Persona 4 Golden will appear on the Switch first. After all, the game only received a port for the PC in the past few years and is, in terms of performance and graphics, less demanding than Persona 5. So it remains to be seen what exactly Nintendo is up to this time.

It’s understandable that Nintendo fans want more gameplay and more trailers for the sequel to Breath of the Wild 2. As far as I’m concerned, Nintendo can leave all the time in the world if the result can hold a candle to its predecessor. Good things take time.
