updated: ZdobywcyGier reported that the article was removed following a request from THQ Nordic. “We had to remove yesterday’s article due to a communication from THQ Nordic. We apologize for the inconvenience”, it says in a tweet.

In any case, the message raises some questions, since the announcement of “Stuntfest” was several years ago. In 2016 it said: “Stuntfest is a crazy vehicle-based physics playground that allows you to create your own mischievous levels with the easy-to-use in-game editor and then try to perform all kinds of crazy ragdoll and vehicle stunts.”

It is questionable whether from the set prototypes ended up becoming more.

Original message from May 20, 2022: Will Wreckfest continue with Stuntfest? Sources from the Polish website ZdobywcyGier (via wccftech) According to the Finnish game developer Bugbear Entertainment wants to announce such a title later this year. However, the article has since been taken offline.

Stuntfest is rumored to be inspired by the studio’s previous titles and games like Destruction All-Stars. Among other things, player characters can leave the car and move on foot. The character may use items assigned to the controller’s LT and RT buttons. Ultimately, “Stuntfest” will be a combination of “WreckFest”, “FlatOut” and “Trackmania” and will offer dynamic content.

Grand Canyon and Arizona desert

To the deleted article let himself also removethat “Stuntfest” will feature environments based on the Grand Canyon and the Arizona desert, similar in terms of construction to “Trackmania”. In addition, the maps should include different colored decorations, obstacles, balloons and other additions beyond their natural layout.

A number of vehicle types are also represented in “Stuntfest”, including pickups, buggies, sports cars and normal limousines. And of course the colors can be customized. The “Wreckfest” vehicle damage system is reportedly returning. Vehicles have a “health bar” and realistically destroy themselves, they say.

“Stuntfest” is said to be announced for unspecified systems this year. And if the rumors are confirmed, the title on the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase be visible. Until then, the information should be treated with caution, especially because the article has now been deleted.

First time we hear about this one Project not anyway. A few years ago, a vehicle-based physics playground of the same name was released as an Early Access version and later removed.
