Only big streamers cause big drama on Twitch? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! After C5_Sin was slammed by another content creator for his questionable methods, his temper got the better of him: not only did he threaten the critic, he also drew a gun in the stream. Twitch initially kept its feet still, but after the excitement on Twitter, it cracked down.
Streamer threatens critics live on air
If you want to be really successful as a streamer on Twitch, you not only need content that inspires the masses, but also a lot of luck. However, streamers who are unsuccessful try again and again to sneak in using unclean methods or shortcuts – including C5_Sin.
The streamer relied on support-for-support deals to increase its reach. In other words, if someone agrees to host it, check out their stream, or leave a few bits and subs, they shout out and stop by yours too. A truly organic audience doesn’t develop that way. Most viewers are only there because they themselves hope that this way they can increase their reach – a kind of small pyramid scheme that ensures additional viewers.
YouTuber and streamer JTX has made it its task in its videos, among other things, to expose such content creators and the viewers to point out the lousy machinations of the streamers. However, that annoys them, including C5_Sin.
In one of his streams, he therefore held a long monologue in which he not only threatened JTX, but even pulled out his gun for a momentto look even more menacing:
“JTX I’m gonna beat you up so your mom will cry bro. If you don’t have a mother… Dude, I don’t care. I’ll make your relatives cry.”
“I’m flying this motherfucker to New York City, to Manhattan. The police are not here. […] If I fly this guy to Manhattan […] and take him down a side street, you think the police won’t give a damn if I beat the shit out of him?”
The Twitch VOD has now been taken offline, but the corresponding stream can still be found on YouTube:
Twitch first sleeps, but then swings the ban hammer
Understandably, JTX reported the relevant content to Twitch – but the streaming platform did not react at first. No warning, no temporary ban – nothing!
It was only after the case got a bit bigger on Twitter about a month later that action was taken:
Suddenly everything happened very quickly. Shortly after the tweet, C5_Sin’s Twitch account was banned. According to a message when accessing the channel for the following reason: “This channel is currently unavailable due to a violation of the Community Guidelines or the Twitch Terms of Service.”

Some streamers just don’t know when it’s over:
After the ban G5_Sin seems to have withdrawn completely – his Twitter profile was also deletedalong with all the tweets in which he previously asserted that drawing the gun was by no means intended as a threatening gesture.
Luckily, Twitch saw it a little differently and ended up swinging the ban hammer. However, that it took so long does not reflect well on the well-known streaming platform. When it comes to content monitoring, Twitch definitely has to step up its game in the future.
