Fans still sometimes argue about the style of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. But did you know that even Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto hated the look and wanted something completely different instead?

Miyamoto wanted another Majora’s Mask

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is considered by many Zelda fans today must play However, the game had to face a lot of criticism when it was released, because the cartoon look did not appeal to many fans who had previously played Ocarina of Time, for example.

The effort to make The Wind Waker a more realistic game, however, would have cost the team about ten years of development time. That’s why he ended up with the concept but given the green light. Although he had doubts that it would sell well.

However, one change was able to prevail

Although Miyamoto had to give in to the developers’ request and give his okay on the style, at least he was able to assert himself in one other matter. Curiously, Link was not initially supposed to conduct with a baton, but play on a teremin.

He would have waved his hands in the air for the teremin as well. However, players would have had to hold the controller very awkwardly for this. In addition, the sound would have been extremely spaced out.
