Google has announced updates to the Play Store policies that will come into effect in the coming months.

Since August 31, developers have been banned from publishing apps whose icons may falsely indicate an association with another company. You can not mix images, use state symbols and logos of third parties.

From September 30, unexpected interline ads that take up the entire screen will be banned. For example, ads at the beginning or during the game, when viewing the loading screen, and also before the appearance of a new block of content will be prohibited.

Ads that don’t bother users are allowed, but full-screen interline ads that can’t be closed after 15 seconds are not.

From November 1, VPN services are prohibited from using ads that can affect monetization in applications to manipulate, as well as to collect personal data without the user’s consent.

It will also not be possible to redirect traffic from other applications using a VPN or manipulate traffic for the purpose of monetization.
