While the second wave of circuits adding 2 new cups to the game has just been confirmed, an old leak dating from the first update adding the circuits of wave 1 resurfaces and seems very real.

As a reminder, this was a leak from @fishguy6564 on Twitter who was able to find prefixes giving the consoles from which the circuits are taken from among the previous games in the Mario Kart series.

The recent Wave 2 announcement does indeed confirm the Turnip and Helico cut prefixes as follows:

  • 2 circuits Tour: So New York Getaway and Sprint in Sydney
  • 1 Circuit GBA: Snowy Country
  • 1 circuit N64: Kalimari Desert
  • 1 Wii track: Mushroom Throat
  • 1 DS track: Pinball Waluigi
  • 1 SNES track: Circuit Mario 3
  • 1 circuit without prefix therefore an original entry: City Sorbet

Note that in the Coco Supermarket on Switch posters seem to point to the Vanilla Lake circuit of the SNESwhich could be the final circuit for this console.
The Nintendo 64 seems to have delivered its last circuit with the Kalimari desert.

Which brings us, based on this leak which seems 100% correct, to a large list of potential contenders remaining for each console. In brackets after each console the number of circuits that remain to be discovered in the booster pack for this console, in bold the potential favorites:
