Revealed last October, The Lost Wild returns with its dinosaurs in a new trailer on the occasion of the publication of its page Steam. As we suspected during the first presentation, it will not be a fast-FPS: the gameplay seems to be moving towards a horrific walking simulator. A few objects to pick up, monsters to avoid and buttons to press, a style of play that fits perfectly with the editor Annapurna Interactiveto whom we owe generally quiet adventures like What Remains of Edith Finch or Maquette, but which sometimes surprises with titles like Due Process or Neon White.

The Steam page tells us that it will be possible to face the dinosaurs, but with respect for animal welfare, since only non-lethal weapons will be at our disposal. If you haven’t run away from these fantastic critters, you may be able to intimidate them to survive.
The images are quite nice, but the gameplay shown still looks a lot like pre-computed. We will have to wait a little longer to get an idea of the project.

The Lost Wild is slated for 2024 and you can already add it to your wishlist at Steam if the sight of a T-Rex excites you.
