Obsidian Entertainment has been working on Grounded for a long time and has been testing the title diligently. But now there is finally a release date for the full version.
The testing phase of Obsidian’s latest work, Grounded, is finally coming to an end. As the developer has now confirmed, the release date for the full version of the survival adventure has now been set.
In June, Obsidian Entertainment had previously emphasized that they wanted to release the full version in September 2022. Now they keep their word in this regard and gave September 27th as the specific release date.
Grounded is currently still in a test phase and recently received an update to version 0.14, which was less extensive than previous releases. At the same time, this was also the last such update for the game preview version before the full version 1.0 starts in September.
Until then, you can continue to participate in the public test via Xbox and Steam, but you have to be aware that this is still a development version that can struggle with a few quirks. Any progress made may not be transferred to the later full version.
Grounded will be released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows 10/11 as well as Steam. The game preview version costs just under 30 dollars, the later full version is associated with a price increase to just under 40 dollars. The game is also part of the Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass.
