You can strike again when buying hardware! Or rather not? The prices are now good or at a bearable level. Many graphics cards have fallen sharply and are at or below MSRP. We look at how much money you can get popular GPUs for, how much you pay compared to MSRP, and how prices have changed since the last market check in June. We’ll also tell you why you should perhaps wait before buying a GPU. Of course there is also a small overview of CPUs and RAM.
We’ll skip the history lesson about the graphics cards and chip crisis, the bad miners and the supply bottlenecks this time, you know the old stuff. So let’s turn to something nicer right away: the price development of graphics cards. For this we have chosen an example GPU in the form of the RX 6800 XT. As can be seen in the video, the price has been falling steadily since winter. While this model hasn’t hit the MSRP yet, it’s not far off. Other cards, on the other hand, have already fallen well short of this and the trend has actually continued up to now. For the video we have prepared all prices in tables with the percentage deviation from the RRP.
Of course, what we are also interested in, apart from the current price of the graphics cards, is how the prices have changed since the last price check. We have also created tables for this to illustrate the price difference. We then dedicate the last part of the video to the CPUs and the main memory, because here we can also make an exciting observation. We have bad news here for Intel fans, good news for the AMD faction. We also illustrated the price development of the CPUs in the video with a table.
