Stray: Playable today with PS Plus Extra/Premium

“Stray” will be included in PS Plus Extra and Premium today. But when can the download start? A countdown reveals the time.

The cat adventure “Stray” is one of the highlights of the week. Better yet, players who subscribe to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium can keep their wallets closed and download the title at no extra cost.

But when can the download button be pressed? This is revealed by the countdown in the PlayStation Store on the relevant product page running and by 10 o’clock ends. After that, interested players can start hoisting Stray onto their console of choice.

The download size was already leaking last week through. If it is confirmed, then the following data packages must be loaded:

• PS4: 13,352GB (Version: 1.02)
• PS5: 7,514GB (Version: 1,003,000)

As with many games, the PS5 version is significantly smaller than the PS4 version of Stray in terms of download size. The simple reason for this is that the new Sony console uses Kraken technology, which ensures more efficient data compression and keeps the required storage space correspondingly smaller.

PS Plus available in multiple packages

As mentioned at the beginning, PlayStation Plus members can access Stray at no additional cost provided they have the right package selected. Since June 2022, the service has been offered in the Essential, Extra and Premium levels, which differ in terms of the scope of services and are also subject to different pricing.

While Essential is the same as the previous PlayStation Plus and grants those benefits, including free PS Plus games at the beginning of a month, Stray becomes part of the Extra Library, which is also part of the Premium subscription. The prices are 59.99 euros for Essential, 99.99 euros for Extra and 119.99 euros for Premium – each calculated for one year. Monthly and quarterly memberships are also possible.
