Russia is among the leaders in terms of the number of downloads of VPN services. This is reported by RBC with reference to the statistics of the AppMagic service, which analyzes the mobile application market. From March to July, Russia ranked second after India.
During the second month of summer, domestic users downloaded VPN services more than 12 million times. For comparison, in January, when the country ranked 16th in this indicator, they were downloaded 2 million times, and in July 2021 – 2.7 million.
It is worth noting that one download means installation on one device, that is, the user can download the application several times for many products.
Among the most popular VPN services among Russians, the leaders are:
- VPN – Super Unlimited Proxy – 14.36 million downloads;
- Secure VPN – Safer Internet – 12.08 million;
- VPN Proxy Master – Safer Vpn – 10.8 million;
- 1.1.1.1: Faster & Safer Internet – 10.8 million;
- Turbo VPN – Secure VPN Proxy – 12.8 million.
In addition to India and Russia, the top five includes Pakistan, Indonesia and the United States.
