The psychopathic AI Shodan shows his hatred in the new gameplay trailer for System Shock Remake.

Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios have teamed up with Shodan, the psychopathic AI who controls Citadel Station, to unveil a new gameplay trailer.

The game is a full remake of the 1994 original, combining iconic gameplay with all-new HD graphics, updated controls, an overhauled UI, and all-new sounds and music.

The developers at Nightdive Studios have worked extremely closely with the original System Shock team – including the voiceover of Shodan – Terri Brosius to ensure the remake stays true to its origins while also attracting new players to the title.

Players must use a combination of stealth, cunning and futuristic weaponry to make their way through the Citadel Station’s all-new areas, traps, puzzles and mysteries to reach Shodan. Facing them is an army of hostile and mutant creatures created and controlled by Shodan himself, which players must overcome through a combination of stealth, subterfuge and extreme violence.

System Shock is available for pre-order on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store, where a playable demo is also available. The game will also be released for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PlayStation 4|5.
