Ikea has now released a new AR function, Ikea Kreativ, via Ikea’s IOS app that can be used to scan a room with light radar (lidar) to create a 3D copy of it, reports The Verge.
The user can then delete existing furniture and replace it with different Ikea furniture to get an idea of what they would look like in the room.
The function can be used both with Iphones that have suffered as well as Iphones, Ipads and browsers that do not suffer. In that case, the user instead needs to upload several different images to the room in question.
Ikea Kreativ is so far only available in the US, but will come to more countries next year.
